Start the new year with the first day of climbing in the Dolliver State Park

Looking for a fun and healthy way to welcome the new year? Start the outdoor recreation winter 2012 with the first day of climbing in the Dolliver State Park. This free event will be held on January 1. First day hikers can expect to be surrounded by the natural beauty of quiet in winter, with a view of the news leaves. Track wildlife and animals may be seen during the hike.

This guided hike will begin at the South lodge on Dolliver State Park 1 pm and last approximately 45 minutes. Welcome children over the age of 4 but was taken by an adult. Dress warm. Wear layers of clothing and sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and hats and warm gloves. Binoculars camera always useful and remember to carry water. The difficulty will increase depending on the amount of snow on the ground. For inclement weather please call 419-2546 to Ascension status.
